It was an interesting Easter with Friends and Family at the Park! WE had loads of fun with puppets, donkey rides, painting, egg-hunts and more!

What a great turnout for our first Table Top Sale of 2024! Thank you to all the sellers and buyers that attended, we look forward to seeing you all next month.
11th February 2024: Furends Sponsored Dog Walk
A special thank you to our partner Furends, who organised the first sponsored dog walk and raised an impressive amount of £72.20! Their fundraising has a big impact and helps towards our ongoing work and projects here at Bright Park.
9th December 2023: Bright Christmas Wonderland Fair
We have officially began our festive celebrations here at Bright Park, starting with our Christmas Fair! There was lots to see and do, such as visiting Father Christmas in his grotto, browsing stalls, watching a puppet show and much more. Thanks to all those who attended and to those that helped make the day so special.
7th November 2023: Firework Night
What an amazing celebration and beautiful display! A big thank you to Knotty Ash primary school, who we partnered with to make this night possible and to all those who attended. It was wonderful to see such a great turnout!
31st October 2023: Autumn Welly Walk
We celebrated the change in season by wrapping up in our warmest autumn clothing and embarking on a nature scavenger hunt. Followed by some fun seasonal activities and finished with a delicious s’more around the campfire!
12th August 2023: Charity Summer Fair
There was lots of fun to be had during our Fundraising Summer Fair! A special thank you to the local police and firefighters who joined the event and the wonderful local businesses that supplied prizes for our raffle.
July-August 2023: Brighter Holidays Outdoor Club
What a great time we had during the three weeks of Brighter Holidays Forest School Club! Thank you to the Woodward Charitable Trust for their generous grant which made this years holiday club possible.

Table Top and Car Boot Sale
We hosted our very first Car Boot Sale in the park. We were very lucky that the rain held off long enough so that our buyers could have a look around the stalls.
25th May 2023: Wildflower Meadow Seed Sowing
A few weeks ago our Friends of Bright Park team we’re joined by students from Linacre Primary School to scatter the seeds on our wildflower meadow area. Thank you to Ian Jones and Groundwork for delivering a wonderful session! We can’t wait to see how this area develops!
6th May 2023: Coronation Celebration
We had a great time celebrating the Coronation with our community. We had some great stalls set up, ranging from face painting, arts and crafts and even makaton demonstrations that were performed by the Vibe. A big thank you to all the volunteers for their time and effort!

Let's Celebrate Eurovision 23
It was wonderful to reflect on Eurovision 2023 and to celebrate the history and heritage of Eurovision with our community. We particularly focused on celebrating Ukraine, as we had a stall to plant Sunflowers which is the national flower of Ukraine, and we even had a Ukranian dance group that performed in the park. A special thanks to Euro Grant who funded this event.
29th April 2023: Bouncy Bonanza
It was great to welcome the community into the park for Bouncy Bonanza day. Everyone enjoyed the bouncy castles, soft play, face painting and glitter tattoos.
22nd April 2023: Furends Dog Fest
A fantastic turnout for dog fest, lots of happy dogs and owners. This event included an incredible agility dog display by West Lancs dog display team, competitions, prizes and more.
17th December 2022: Christmas Fun Day
The community was invited to join us for our Christmas fun day which included a giant inflatable snow globe, carol singing, Christmas crafts and mince pies and hot chocolate.
17th November 2022: I Will Week
Students from Florence Melly Primary School came to take part in environmental activities within the park. Bright Park and Groundwork worked in partnership with to deliver a range of activities including nature trails, planting, and making bird feeders and bunting using natural resources!
August 2022: Brighter Holidays (Summer)
We ran our very first holiday club where children were able to explore the outdoor environment and take part in fun and creative activities and challenges.
4th June 2022:
Jungle Fun Day
Families were invited to enjoy a wild animal show where they could interact with snakes and owls. Children were also able to enjoy the bouncy castle and face painting.
26th May 2022: Doggyfest
Furends hosted an event for dogs and dog owners within the community. The event included competitions, awards and goody bags.
24th May 2022: Bring and Buy Day
The community were invited to the park to swap, gell or give away their old items.
